Our Impression: I was introduced to the Gedeb Region for coffee 2 years ago in Tucson, Arizona! Presta Coffee Roasters in Tucson, Arizona had obtained some of these beans, which I had the pleasure of tasting 4 different roasting recipes as they were tuning in their roast. Every roast was delicious (check them out if you’re ever in Southern Arizona!). For me, what was really prominent from this bean was the bergamot notes in the cup, accompanied with a smooth late chocolate flavour. I am really excited to have this coffee, it’s a personal favourite of mine.

Worka Chelbesa Washing Station is located in the heart of Gedeb (just east of town), and purchases from a total of 682 farmers delivering red cherry from the surrounding villages. Through our partners at the washing station, coffee purchases support several community support programs nearby, including an annual seedling distribution, fundraising for the Chelbesa Primary School Preparatory School Project, Computer Donations and construction of a local health clinic.
